i took too long to write this review. the impressions of that night have faded from my memory. most of them. what remains is a bright, shiny thing that jumps up and down with unbridled glee and innocent arrogance. you could sum up a THE ARK concert like that. we had missed SUGARPLUM FAIRY, but that didn't hurt much. i like the band, but i won't shed any tears for not having seen them live when i could. what stung more was the fact that we had missed a good third of the entire THE ARK performance! i blame youthful lightheadedness and bureucratical punctuality for this catastrophe!
but what we could see and hear was happy happy joy joy all the way. yes, i can actually comprehend what might have sparked the rise of glam rock in ages long ago, when unicorns in pink spandex suits and abounding pectoral hair growth roamed the stages of blindingly lit theatres and tv shows. don't look at me that way! go and witness THE ARK for yourself and i dare to you to not feel at least like smiling and jumping around a bit! hah!

in other words: one of the most funfilled shows of recent years. thumbs up.
